St. Dominic Village is a member of the Texas Medical Center. We are located on a beautiful 27-acre campus conveniently located off of Holcombe Blvd near Interstate 288. We are located near the Metro bus line and provide free, on-campus parking to all employees.

Development Coordinator

Position Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • The Development Assistant is responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of the database (Network For Good) as well as issuing all related correspondence
  • Responsible for assembling and sending out proposals for grants.
  • Will support the Development Director in the planning, organization, and execution of all Special Events
  • Will organize and develop the quarterly newsletter, social media posts and email blasts

Position Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in Development/Event Planning 
  • Network For Good, Canva and Indesign Experience

Marketing Liaison

Position Summary:

The Marketing Liaison serves as the primary contact to prospective patients and families and designated healthcare providers including physicians, healthcare facilities, case managers, social workers, discharge planners, and insurance case managers. The marketing liaison will manage the overall admissions/marketing process for St. Dominic Village skilled nursing facility/assisted living from hospital, LTACH, SNF referral to admission. This role will require frequent travel to area referring facilities and will require a dependable means of transportation.

Position Qualifications:

  • Previous clinical and/or sales/admission/marketing experience in skilled nursing is preferred.
  • Solid communication skills and ability to build and maintain local professional relationships and drive referrals is required.
  • Demonstrate clinical competency
  • Possess strong assessment skills, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • Work independently, and demonstrate good judgment
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and be an effective time manager and multi-tasker
  • Possesses negotiation and persuasion skills as well as being an active listener
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Records)
  • Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs
  • Ability to work flexible hours as referrals demand

Infection Control Preventionist

Position Summary:

The Infection Preventionist is responsible for the development, direction, implementation, management and operation of the infection prevention in long term care. Infection Preventionist will work to identify, investigate, monitor, and report healthcare-associated infections and communicable diseases. The IP collaborates with the clinical team and individuals to create, educate, and sustain infection prevention strategies, as well as provide feedback. IP conducts ongoing staff development, training and quality assurance performance improvement monitoring to ensure adherence with the organization standards, professional guidelines, state, and federal regulations.

Position Qualifications:

  • Be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing for registered nurses (RN) and possess a current license for the State of Texas
  • Basic knowledge of nursing theory and practice 
  • Have a working knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and computer literate
  • Qualified by education, training, experience, or certification
  • Has completed specialized training in infection prevention (CMS)
  • Skills in collaboration, leadership and conflict resolution
  • Good communication skills oral and written
  • Ability to implement evidence-based guidelines
  • Knowledge in and ability to conduct data collection and analysis, report writing and data presentation

Maintenance Tech

Position Summary:

To provide a daily survey of the buildings to ensure a safe and secure living environment for the residents, patients of the Village. Perform repairs and upkeep to physical plants and equipment used in the buildings of the Village. Certify that all equipment and furniture is kept to a standard that will exceed State of Texas standards. Maintain all repair records.

Position Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in plumbing, electrical or HVAC 
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems, replace electrical motors
  • Knowledge of pneumatic controls, carpentry, building repair, nurse call systems, plumbing and painting
  • Good physical condition with the ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of fire safety and codes for long term care facility
  • Must willingly demonstrate the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Must demonstrate initiative – be a self-starter with job duties assigned

Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

Position Summary:

Ensure residents receive the appropriate medications (as ordered) at the appropriate times and within the scope of responsibilities of the medication aide as defined by the State of Texas. Clearly documents administered and refused medications. 

Position Qualifications:

  • Certified by the State of Texas (approved training program) in medication administration
  • Must have knowledge of restrictions regarding job duties and be willing to abide by those restrictions
  • Experience helpful
  • Must be able to accurately administer medications
  • Must willingly demonstrate the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Must demonstrate initiative – be a self-starter with job duties assigned
  • Must have working knowledge of computers
  • $1,500 SIGN ON BONUS ELIGIBLE

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Position Summary:

The unit LVN is responsible for the daily nursing care of the residents on the unit including administration of medications and treatments, receiving and transcribing physician orders, monitoring CNA activity, and communicating effectively with staff, residents, families, physicians, and all other members of the interdisciplinary team.

Position Qualifications:

  • Be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing for licensed vocational nurses and possess a current license for the State of Texas
  • Basic knowledge of nursing theory and practice
  • Basic knowledge of drug administration via all approved and ordered routes, including IV and infection control techniques
  • Basic knowledge of drug actions and adverse reactions
  • Willingness and consciousness to provide quality customer service in keeping with facility standards of practice
  • Willingness to comply with and uphold the facility’s vision, mission statement, standards of practice and policies and procedures
  • Must willingly demonstrate the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must demonstrate initiative – be a self-starter with job duties assigned
  • Must be certified in IV therapy
  • Have a working knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and computer literate
  • $5,000 SIGN ON BONUS ELIGIBLE

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Position Summary:

St. Dominic Village is currently seeking full-time or PRN Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA). CNAs Assist licensed nurses in providing care by performing the necessary nursing skills to ensure residents’ well being.

Position Qualifications:

  • Certified by the State of Texas in nurses aide training
  • Experience in long-term care is a plus
  • Must demonstrate initiative – be a self-starter with job duties assigned
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records
  • $3,000 SIGN ON BONUS ELIGIBLE
