Warren Chapel is the religious and spiritual heart of St. Dominic Village, a senior care community with approximately 300 residents including retired priests and religious.
We are a ministry of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston and a member of the Texas Medical Center. This entire village relies completely on Warren Chapel for Sacramental and spiritual care.
Thanks to the generosity from our donors to the 2015 End of Year Campaign and the support from the St. Dominic Village Patron Corps; the spiritual heart of our campus, Warren Chapel, has received much needed renovations. With new paint, lighting, carpet, pews and kneelers, a new center aisle, a new Repository for our Sacred Oils, a new Statue of Mary, and new liturgical furniture, Warren Chapel is being thoroughly enjoyed by a steady stream of residents,
families and visitors.
The first St. Dominic Village Mass conducted in the renovated space was on January 8th, the Solemnity of the Epiphany of our Lord. Our celebrant was Archbishop Joseph A. Fiorenza with our Patron Corps members as our special guests at the Mass. Following Mass, our Patron Corps members were honored at the annual thank you luncheon. An Open house is planned for Sunday February 26th for all who donated to the campaign and made the renovations a reality. We are honored to have Cardinal DiNardo as the celebrant for this special mass.
