St. Dominic Village is a member of the Texas Medical Center. We are located on a beautiful campus conveniently located off of Holcombe Blvd near Interstate 288. We are located near the Metro bus line and provide free, on-campus parking to all employees.

RN Unit Coordinator

St. Dominic Village Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is looking for a Full-Time RN Unit Coordinator for a Medicare Short term unit of:

  • - 52 Bed Unit with a mix of short term skilled and some long term residents.
  • - 1-2 yrs of Medicare experience and understanding of medicare guidelines
  • - Coordinate the daily nursing care for all residents on the unit; participate in meetings; initiate assessment and develop a care plan for each resident. Supervise staff for the entire unit, for all three shifts. Responsible for 24hr care of resident son assigned unit.
  • - Must be self motivated in familiarizing self with organizational functions, policies, regulations and procedures of long term care and medicare guidelines. Must be a team player and detail oriented, and effectively problem solve with residents, families, staff and physicians.

Education/Experience:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing for Registered Nurses and possess current RN licensure in the State of Texas
  • Must have working knowledge of general nursing theory and practices as well as principles, techniques and methods involved in the administration of medications
  • Be familiar with organizational functions, policies, regulations and procedures for long term care as related to nursing services
  • Possess the ability to supervise and counsel staff and have a willingness to work with the realization that incompetence and errors may have a serious consequence for residents
  • Good memory for details, experience with geriatric care
  • Ability to problem solve with residents, families, staff and physicians
  • Must be assertive when dealing with a variety of staff and departments
  • Must willingly demonstrate the ability to work in a team oriented environment
  • Must demonstrate initiative - be a self starter with job duties assigned
  • Must possess computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records
  • Flexible work hours



Staffing Coordinator - Part Time

Responsible for maintaining and coordinating the established nursing staffing patterns and payroll for St. Dominic Village.

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum education level - 2 years of college or equivalent related experience Strong computer skills essential- Excel, scheduling software, Outlook
  • Must be available on a twenty-four (24) hour basis Monday-Friday with limited interaction on weekends
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills are a must
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Must possess good organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to interact on a professional basis with staff
  • Must willingly demonstrate the ability to work in a team oriented environment
  • Must demonstrate initiative - be a self starter with job duties assigned



RN, Supervisor

St. Dominic village is currently seaking a Full-Time and/or PRN RN Supervisor and as in-house supervisor, this role is responsible for supervising all nursing staff as well as ancillary staff as needed. Responsible for administrative decision making process for facility on weekends. Liaison between staff, families, residents and physicians.

Education/Experience:

  • Be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (RN)
  • Maintain current licensure in the State of Texas with 3-5 years' experience and have basic knowledge of staffing patterns
  • Must demonstrate competence in communication skills and have the ability to relate to diverse constituency and act independently to solve problems
  • Must be flexible in availability to work
  • Must willingly demonstrate the ability to work in a team oriented environment
  • Must demonstrate initiative - be a self-starter with job duties assigned
  • Computer skills and knowledge of EMR



CNA

St. Dominic Village is currently seeking a Full-Time and/or PRN Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) in our nursing home and Assisted Living. CNAs Assist licensed nurses in providing care by performing the necessary nursing skills to ensure that residents' needs are met and they maintain the highest level of functioning.

Education/Experience:

  • Certified by the State of Texas in a nurses aide training.
  • Experience in long term care a plus.



LVN

St. Dominic Village is currently seeking a Full-Time and/or PRN LVN and this person is responsible for the daily nursing care of the residents on the unit including administration of medications and treatments, receiving and transcribing physician orders, monitoring CNA activity and care of the residents on a daily basis and communicating effectively to staff, residents, families, physicians and all members of the interdisciplinary team. We currently have openings for PT and PRN LVNs.

Education/Experience:

  • Be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing for LVNs and possess a current license for the State of Texas.
  • At least 6 months experience as a LVN in a long-term care setting.



CMA

St. Dominic Village is currently seeking PRN Certified Medication Aide in both our nursing home and assisted living facilities. CMAs ensure residents receive the appropriate medication as ordered.

Education/Experience:

  • Certified by the State of Texas in medication administration.
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to accurately pass medication.
  • Experience in long term care a plus.
