St. Dominic Village is a non-profit corporation established by the Catholic Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Our facility provides services to over 600 residents a year.

St. Dominic Village is a member of the Texas Medical Center. We are located on a beautiful campus conveniently located off of Holcombe Blvd near Interstate 288. We are located near the Metro bus line and provide free, on-campus parking to all employees.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE AT ST. DOMINIC VILLAGE




Weekend Receptionist

St. Dominic Village is currently seeking a part-time Weekend Receptionist that will be responsible for answering phones, directing calls, monitoring of residents and maintaining security of buildings. Also be responsible for making mature decisions regarding the safety and security of all residents and building and for the smooth functioning of all buildings. In addition to weekend reservations of Angel Guest Rooms.

Education/Experience:

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent and at least two (2) years experience in nursing or retirement home or similar experience
  • Ability to communicate with all people
  • Must present oneself in a professional manner with a friendly attitude and voice when greeting the public
  • Must be sensitive to residents' limitations and needs
  • Must demonstrate mature judgement and critical thinking skills
  • Must willingly demonstrate initiative and be a self starter with job duties assigned
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must posses excellent customer service background
  • Must demonstrate accountability for all duties



CNA

St. Dominic Village is currently seeking Full-time and PRN Certified Nurse Assistants in our nursing home and Assisted Living. CNAs Assist licensed nurses in providing care by performing the necessary nursing skills to ensure that residents' needs are met and they maintain the highest level of functioning.

Education/Experience:

  • Certified by the State of Texas in a nurses aide training.
  • Experience in long term care a plus.



LVN

The LVN is responsible for the daily nursing care of the residents on the unit including administration of medications and treatments, receiving and transcribing physician orders, monitoring CNA activity and care of the residents on a daily basis and communicating effectively to staff, residents, families, physicians and all members of the interdisciplinary team. We currently have openings for PT and PRN LVNs.

Education/Experience:

  • Be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing for LVNs and possess a current license for the State of Texas.
  • At least 6 months experience as a LVN in a long-term care setting.



CMA

St. Dominic Village is currently seeking PRN Certified Medication Aide in both our nursing home and assisted living facilities. CMAs ensure residents receive the appropriate medication as ordered.

Education/Experience:

  • Certified by the State of Texas in medication administration.
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to accurately pass medication.
  • Experience in long term care a plus.
