St. Dominic Village Assisted Living facility
includes 48 large single rooms, some with connecting doors
to accommodate married
couples, siblings or single residents who would like a larger
living space. These rooms are unfurnished allowing those moving
in to bring their belongings with them so they can make their
new home as warm and inviting as the one they left.
Licensed nurses and other nursing personnel staff
the facility on a 24 hour basis.
The assisted living facility is a vital link in
the continuum of care developed to meet the needs of the older
adult who
is unable to live independently but who is not in need
of nursing home care. The facility is also designed for those
who are
in
the early stages of dementia and may need a smaller environment
in which to feel secure.
Residents enjoy three hot meals a day, seven days
a week in their own dining room. A full range of activities,
both
on
and off
campus are planned by the Life Enrichment Coordinator.
With the assistance of retired priests, Catholic residents
gain
spiritual
nourishment from daily Mass, regular celebration of the
sacraments, seasonal services and daily rosary. Spiritual
enrichment
programs are available to residents of all faiths. Other
amenities at
no charge include all utilities, satellite TV, weekly
housekeeping services and laundry services. A library and
computer
lab
with e-mail and internet access is also included. Residents
have
access to the Sterling-Turner
Wellness and Fitness Center.
Services
provided for a fee include private phone line, beauty/barber
shop, gift shop and transportation to and from medical
appointments.
