The Life Enrichment Program at St. Dominic Village invites
residents and staff to try something new.
Communicating with grandchildren by e-mail is
something that most new residents have dreamed
of doing and thought impossible. Their dreams
come true in the large,
well maintained computer lab that is staffed with trainers. The
library that never closes provides ample reading material, video
movies and comfortable chairs for those who might want to read
or meet with friends. The art rooms and volunteer teachers offer
residents the opportunity to discover or rediscover their creative
natures. Teachers can be found for almost any medium the resident
desires, and their artwork is often displayed at the nearby Jung
Center. |

Residents have 27 acres of manicured grounds and walkways
to enjoy when the weather outside is delightful. Residents
can often
be seen strolling in twos and threes chatting and laughing.
Seating areas along the walkways ensure that residents don’t get
overly tired. At certain times of the year, pecans are plentiful
and just waiting to be scooped up along the way. Pinecones are
often retrieved and freshened to become seasonal decorations.
Personal shoppers are available to help those residents who
can’t
make the weekly shopping trips. While eating out with friends
and neighbors is always a welcomed event, a party in the social
hall is just as much fun. Opportunities for fun are around every
corner. |
